For general career info: and can search 'health educators' or such.

Please steer clear of those online, for-profit schools such as university of phoenix, capella, penn foster, ITT tech, sanford brown, everest, devry, strayer, kaplan, walden and others as they are merely out to 'make a profit' (and one's credits may not transfer): and can type into search.

For US colleges:

There are jobs, but your return on investment would not be great enough. There salaries paid would not justify putting a lot of money in getting a masters. Get masters in physical therapy or nursing.

You know, I also would like to get a masters in health education after I earn my bachelors degree. I am thinking of going through the University of Alabama online. But like you, I don't want to waste any money on a degree that I won't be able to use, so I pretty much have a wait and see attitude about it right now.

I looked in my local newspaper online, as well as sites such as Careerbuilder, Hotjobs and Monster. I typed in the words health educator (or health education) and I looked under my city. At least in Texas, there doesn't seem to be many openings. It looks like most of the good positions, as usual, are going to the RNs, but I do not want to be an RN, so that's out for me.

Perhaps when the baby boomers start retiring, there will be a greater need for health educators. I also thought about checking with primary and secondary schools in my area, as well as social service organizations and various businesses that have a wellness program for its employees.

I truly wish you the best in this area, and if you can, please keep me posted on your progress and any news you may get on this.
